Bag Refill Cartridge Lasts up to Two Months
The Litter Locker II bag refill cartridge can last up to two months per cat. When the current bag becomes full, open the bin, cut the bag from the refill, and knot the top for easy disposal. Pull down another length of bag from the refill, tie a knot in the bottom, and close the container to continue using the Litter Locker II. Each bag holds up to two weeks of litter (for one cat).
Multilayer Film Seals in Smells
These bags have an odor-concealing, multilayer film that ensures smells stay contained. The Litter Locker II is designed to keep bags sealed. Once you've scooped the litter into the bin, close it and pull the handle on the front, dropping the clumps to the bottom of the bag. Release the handle and it will spring back into place to close the top of the bag, sealing away unwanted odors.

On November 25, 2011 I placed an order with Amazon. As usual I used a Litter Locker II refill cartridge to bring my order up to the $25 mark to qualify for free shipping. At $5.99, buying a refill on every Amazon order had become routine. Please don't get me wrong. I LOVE the Litter Locker II and will not ever go back to using anything else. Odor-free is absolutely the truth. If you use a different method of litter disposal and think your house remains free of the used-litter smell, you're fooling yourself!HOWEVER, today (Dec 3, 2011) I went to tack on another refill cartridge to my latest Amazon order only to discover the price had sky-rocketed from $5.99 to $14.10. That's a 135% price increase! Reading other reviews I see that some folks have stated that the Litter Locker II refill cartridges are the same as the Diaper Genie II refill cartridges just with different packaging. I bought the Litter Locker II about 6 weeks ago. My two cats fill it up in about a week. That is what I was expecting because the manufacturer claims one cat will fill it in about two weeks. I empty it Sunday nights. The garbage collectors take the bag of poop away Monday mornings. The first cartridge lasted for 6 weeks before I had to replace it. I plan to use less of the cartridge plastic bag weekly and get at least 7 weeks of use before it needs to be replaced. The Amazon price for the cartridges can't be beat.I was surprised to learn that the Litter Locker II is really a modified Diaper Genie II. The same company makes both. It's a brilliant alternate use of a product. The Diaper Genie II cartridges will work in the Litter Locker II and visa versa. From now on, I'll buy which ever cartridge is less expensive.
