I have been feeding our dogs Greenie bones since they first came out and we have NEVER had a problem. I have German Shepards, Dobermans and medium sized hound dogs. They all love their GB's and I find that because our Dobie tends to be a "garbage belly" (meaning she'll eat anything!), so sometimes she doesn't smell as nice as she should, really benefits from the "green" in Greenie Bones. I would like to know where "E. Antic" gets his/her information from.....as I can find nothing that says they are "deadly", except for those people that haven't done responsible research (not just hearsay from some list). If your dogs are gulpers or greedy chewers, then I wouldn't feed them ANYTHING, especially RAWHIDE, that could be gulped and swallowed in large pieces or whole. Do we need to bring up "NYLABONES"????? Always be a responsible dog owner and supervise your dogs when giving any kind of treats. Please don't be afraid of Greenie Bones because of E. Antic's post. My German Shepherd is a complete Greenie addict. She knows when they're in the house. She knows which cupboard they're kept in. She knows what time of day she's supposed to get hers. Her vet compliments her on her pretty white teeth, although some of that credit definitely has to go to the fact that my husband and I brush her teeth with one of those finger-toothbrushes and kiddie toothpaste (no fluoride, so safe if she swallows it), but I do know my dog chews a Greenie at least enough to get pieces between her teeth, and at four years old, she doesn't have the kind of doggie breath that knocks you over if she breathes in your face. I do believe that some of the ingredients in Greenies help breath from within, so even if your dog inhales his or her Greenie, there's still some benefit.

My only complaint about Greenies is that they're expensive. There's no denying that. If you do the math on this tub of 17, we're talking about a dollar and forty-seven cents apiece. So... Read more

Don't waste time with the cheap dog-bone clickers. This is reliable and you never find you're mashing the "wrong end" and failing to make the noise precisely when you need to. This was just the right clicker for me and my GSMD puppy when we were both learning marker/clicker training technique. That said, I finally switched to using my voice (I follow Ed Frawley's training advice and now YES! takes the place of click). Why? because with a leash, treats, and other gear there's one less thing to manage by hand, I never misplace my voice, and am always prepared to emit the behavior marker at the correct time! The switch from clicker to voice was no problem for either me or my dog, and there are still uses for these excellent clickers in training.

Some reviewers mentioned the click was too loud. And I must admit it is indeed loud. I was very aprehensive about purchasing it because of this problem. However, I heard so much praise about clicker training that I bought it with the intention of muffling the sound by adhering some sound absorbing materials to the clicker to reduce the loudness of the click. Well, as soon as I got my hands on it I discovered an easy way to reduce the loudness of the click. Here is how:

Simply place the clicker with the orange button facing down on or just before that fatty tissue part of your palm that the thumb extends out of. Then apply firm pressure to the back side of the clicker by folding your four fingers on top the clicker. Make the pressure just firm enough so that clicker sound holes are pressing against the fatty tissue of your palm, then when needed just apply a little more pressure with the four fingers on the back of the clicker to make it click. OK, I was anxious to get started so first I went to Petsmart to buy it in person. But they didn't have it, so I ended up buying one of those little bone ones. DON'T DO THAT! It broke within five minutes of using it.

So I got online and ordered this one from Amazon. It's SOOOOOO much better. It's very loud, sturdy and works perfectly.

Don't waste your dogs time or your money on any other clicker. BUY THIS ONE ... in my humble opinion ;)

I had recently read an article about aleviating boredom in cats and this product was mentioned so I decided to get one for my young male cat Toby. He played with it almost immediately & rarely walks by it without stopping to send the ball rolling. I have it laid out in a wavy line and it is fun to watch him stalk the ball as it passes the openings. The design is unique as the end pieces are slightly elavated so the ball hits the end & is sent back the other way.

K. Smith's review is spot on. This is a reconfigurable tube with holes. Inside the tube is a ball. The cat puts its paw through a hole and pushes the ball, which goes rolling up and down or around the track. The ball makes a soft noise as it rolls. Some other cat balls can be fit inside. The best we've found so far is plastic balls with jingle bells inside; these are too fragile normally (they get stepped on and break) but very appealing inside this tube. We've also left cat treats, toy mice, and ribbons inside.

The tube is very sturdy, up to the riggors of having a cat pick it up and chew on it, etc. Our cats are more likely to play with it if you change the configuration often. Also, this was not obviously a toy to them until we trained them. That is, for the first week we left it in front of the TV, and my daughter or I would play with the ball as we wanted the cat to do. I'd classify this as one of those "when it works, it really, really works" things.

Our lazier cat couldn't be less motivated by the catit play circuit, but our more active cat - holy cow does he love it! Even months later, all you have to do is rearrange the track, then start the ball rolling. He'll come running and wear himself out with it. The funniest is when he bats the ball, then leaps high in the air - like a victory celebration.

It's not irresistable, as Cat #1 has proven, but for the right cat, is a very good cat toy. On par with a laser for entertainment value.
